Currently Reading

So far I have a goal of reading 18 books. Considering I am moving cross country with my boyfriend, I am not surprised to say that I am behind. Still, I have read a few books this year. Right now I’m buddy reading Odinsbarn by Siri Pettersen with a good friend of mine and low-key reading The Martian by Andy Weir.

To be honest I don’t really know what I expected when I started the Martian. I have read both positive and some not so positive reviews about it and it took me by quite the positive surprise. Mark is a funny and sarcastic person and even though we only follow his sorry ass alone on an entire planet it is written both in a funny and informative way. I hope the book continues in this way ’cause it is funny as hell and it’s been a long time since I’ve laughed out loud by a book and it feels good.

I have nothing else. It’s been almost a year. I’m so sorry.

Until next time!

It’s been a while.. Change?

Hey guys!

Let’s just cut to the chase. I have been terrible at posting. It’s been a while. A long while. To be honest I can’t really blame anything but myself. The only thing I’ve been doing is life. Work, friends and family. I don’t really regret it either. I have just been pretty terrible at writing posts here. I do feel bad about that though. This is not the first post where I write about being terrible at writing (heh), but this time I’m going to change it up a little.

Okay. Let’s just get right to it. I haven’t posted anything here in a long damn time. That’s basically what this post will be a out. Not gonna lie.

So a little while after the last post I forgot to queue new posts and I forgot to write at all. I’m really sorry about that! At the same time, I was gone for a week for this tryout and after, once again, I sort of forgot to write. So I’m totally gonna write and post stuff from here on out. If I have stuff going on I’m gonna let you know, and I will see you soon!

Until next time!
Ps. Bonus picture from my last flight. I’m not the best at taking pictures, but the view was great!

Harry Potter Spells Book Tag!

Hey guys! Since I haven’t done any book tags yet, I thought I might as well do one now. And what better way to start with, than a with a Harry Potter themed one? Also, I don’t know who created this tag but if any of you do then please let me know and I’ll leave a link to it. Anyways, let’s do this.

Expecto Patronum – A book connected to good memories.

Matilda by Roald Dahl

I remember when I was maybe 11 years old, and the only book I wanted for my birthday that year was this book. I was so happy when I unwrapped this book! Love it to bits.

Review – Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Title: Throne of Glass
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Goodreads rating: 4.24 stars
Published: 2012 by Bloomsbury USA Children’s

After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.

Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king’s council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she’ll serve the kingdom for four years and then be granted her freedom. Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilirating. But she’s bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her … but it’s the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.

Then one of the other contestants turns up dead … quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.
